About Jordan Walshaw

I'm Jordan Walshaw, founder of The Training Collective — a personal training practice based in Plaza Midwood, Charlotte NC, built around structure, accountability, and long-term progress.

I created The Training Collective to move away from the typical fitness approach built on guesswork and short-term fixes. My focus is simple: give you a clear plan, hold you to a high standard, and help you build strength and fitness that actually lasts.

Coaching isn't about fixing you or giving you something to rely on — it's about putting you in a position to understand what you're doing, why you're doing it, and how to keep progressing long after we stop working together.

My Background

Originally from Sheffield, England, my background is rooted in football. I came through academy systems with Sheffield Wednesday and Chesterfield FC before continuing my career in the US at Winthrop University. That environment taught me that real progress comes from consistency, attention to detail, and doing the basics well over time — not jumping between programmes or chasing the hardest session in the room.

My Coaching Philosophy

I believe in movement quality before intensity, strength over ego, consistency over shortcuts, and long-term results over temporary wins. This isn't about chasing trends or burning yourself out. It's about building a life through training — one that supports your performance, health, and confidence inside and outside the gym.
